Brandon's sleep schedule is finally getting back to somewhat normal. Last night he was only up twice, and he slept until 7 am. So much better for Mommy and Daddy!
Steven didn't have much work today, so we were able to spend most of the day together. We decided to get on the train and just go.
Our first stop was Chinatown. We didn't spend much time there today though. It was really hot for us and Brandon, and it looked like a place where we would be doing a lot of walking outside. We'll for sure have to go back there another time, probably a bit earlier or later in the day!
We left Chinatown and headed for VivoCity (another big mall...) at the Harborfront area of town. We grabbed some lunch there and found a nice children's play area. There were some fountains spraying water, and children were splashing around on the ground. Brandon was very interested in checking this out, so we let him go for it! Within a minute, he was having a blast and soaked. Good thing Mommy still had an extra change of clothes in her bag!
Brandon was so exhausted from the fun that he fell asleep in the stroller on the way home.
Later in the afternoon, the three of us explored Orchard Road some more. We ate dinner at a delicious Chinese restaurant called "Din Tai Fung". We had noodles and chicken in a broth and some amazing pork dumplings. We decided to also grab some ice cream on the way back, so we stopped at the Somerset MRT station area. I enjoyed a green tea tiramisu. It was definitely interesting. The top was dusted with a green tea powder, which was honestly horrible. Very strong flavor. Everything underneath the powder was delicious though, and the powder wasn't as bad once it dissolved in your mouth. It was edible, and I didn't let it go to waste. Brandon and I also shared some cinnamon ice cream, while Steven had his usual - the standard vanilla cone. Go Steven!
We are enjoying the weekend and looking forward to celebrating Easter in Singapore! (Oh, by the way, I've gotta get going because the Easter bunny needs to bring Brandon his little chocolate bunny!)
Looks like another great day!
