Not too much to report for today.
When I woke up this morning, I noticed that Steven had washed a couple of dishes for us last night. Yay! What a great way to start the day! We also got to talk to Jer, Jen, Adam, and Zach on Skype this morning. So, so great to see them. We miss them all so much!
Brandon and I went to Royce Gym this morning after we left Steven at the train. He loves playing there, and I always find nice people to chat with while our kids play. Today, I spoke to a friendly mom from South Africa. She has been here for four years. Her son is 16 months old. It's really nice when I can meet people who have kids right near Brandon's age.
When we got back home, Brandon played on his own for a while. I was happy about that because I didn't want him to take his nap too early. When he does this, he crashes so early at night.
Housekeeping came by before Brandon's nap and that kept him entertained for a while. He was so interested in watching the maid clean and, especially, vacuum!
Last weekend, our cable company, Starhub, changed its channel lineup. When it did, we lost most of our channels for some reason. So, for the last few days, we haven't really had much tv. Starhub sent a technician out this afternoon to check our issue. They gave us a new cable box, and we are up and running again. Maybe I can catch American Idol on Star World tonight!
We went down to the pool this afternoon, but we didn't change into our suits. The last couple of times we've gone down to the pool, Brandon hasn't been that interested in swimming. He just wants to walk around and make his best effort at getting past me to the tennis courts. It was sooo hot out. Jo bought a cake today for Dino's (security guard) birthday. After a quick little birthday celebration, we headed back inside.
We had plans to meet Steven downtown for dinner tonight. We usually take the train down, but I was worried that even a ten minute walk to the train station might be too much for Brandon. Since our ER visit over the weekend, I have been very, very cautious with Brandon. I just don't want that to happen again, and he still isn't 100%.
It is always so good to see Steven for dinner. We were able to take a nice little walk together, as well as enjoy a meal together.
Brandon and I were able to take the train home as it had cooled a bit in the evening. We made a quick stop for some diapers and milk on the way home. We got home a bit after dark. It felt good to walk home at dark. A nice change from being out in the sun.
Brandon is starting to talk more. Today, he said "dog". Words he can say now - "ma ma", "da da", "bye bye", "mum mum", "hi", "more", "ball", "dog". Sometimes, I think he can say "yeah", but not completely sure about that one. So cool to hear him talk. I think I love it even more when he gibber gabbers at me. I know he is trying to say something, and it's so cute to watch him try to communicate. I especially love how he talks with inflection in his voice and personality. Sometimes he will even point and shake his finger at me while he is talking. Such passion for such a little person. :)
