Last Day in Sydney

Up and ready early this morning. We wanted to make the most of our last few hours with Ryan, Brittney, and Sydney.

We took a bus to Circular Quay where we caught a ferry to the zoo. It's so different to me how people have to use ferries to commute around the city. I'm use to cabs, trains, and busses, but not ferries. You really have to time your trips around the ferry schedule. We had to make sure we caught our ferry back from the zoo so we would be able to pack and get to the airport on time!

We had a great time at the zoo!

While we still favor the Singapore zoo, the Sydney zoo had an amazing location. Look at that skyline backdrop!!!

Goodbye, Sydney! Goodbye, Ryan and Brittney. We look forward to seeing Ryan in February back on the other side of our world. And, strangest thing to know that we will have two children the next time we see him. Ahhhh! :)
Off to another city!!!

Sydney, Australia - Day 6

Sigh...

This morning the plan was to do another trip out of the city. We wanted to go to the Hunter Valley and visit some wineries.

Probably for the best though, the plan didn't pan out.

The travel has made Brandon quite of a wreck most nights. Horrible sleeping. We were all so exhausted in the morning.

Plus, we found out that it was a public holiday, and we were told that the traffic on the roads and at the wineries would be horrible. And, it was still raining today.

As we were up with Brandon, Steven and I walked to the Powerhouse Museum (science museum) at Darling Harbour. It was so crowded out due to the holiday! The line to get into the museum was so long! Scratch that plan too!

We decided to just walk around. We found a playground for Brandon and grabbed some lunch at a small outdoor festival.

In the late afternoon, Steven, Brandon, and I went up in the Sydney Tower. Wondeful views of the city, especially of the harbours. Sydney has a gorgeous location. I love all of the water that surrounds the city!

The plans for London were made. Brandon and I would be joining Steven in London.
Stressful. Scary. But, spontaneous and exciting!!!
We moved our flights back to Singapore up one day. Tomorrow - last day in Sydney - the zoo, of course!!!

Sydney, Australia - Day 5

In the morning, we had some breakfast and took some short walks around the grounds at Jenolan Caves.

The entrance to Jenolan Caves.

The amazing blue water. I have never seen anything quite like this.

One view on our drive from Jenolan Caves.

We stopped at the Three Sisters, a natural rock formation in Blue Mountains. Unfortunately, we were only able to see one of the sisters due to the rain and fog. Bummer!
Another huge highlight of our Sydney trip - the Featherdale Wildlife Park. We stopped there on our way back to the city.

We got to pet a koala bear! Soooooo soft!!! I really did just want to cuddle the animal!

Notice the baby bump. Mommy at almost 24 weeks pregnant!

A tasmanian devil!

Even with the weather, it was a great trip out of the city! Later that night, there were fireworks on Darling Harbour. We could see them from the balcony in our apartment/hotel room.
